Even if they are some distance away, please contact the closest one that accepts the species of wildlife you need help with. You, a friend or family will likely need to arrange transport.
If transportation is a barrier, please speak to the rehab for advice and guidance. If rescue support is needed, please reach a person to explain the situation.

Note these points, please:
Ensure the rehab you are going to, accepts the species you are transporting (not all rehabs can accept all animals).

Always be respectful and supportive of Wildlife teams. Only work with a legitimate licensed Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic, such as the ones above.

Always follow the instructions provided by the rehab. They have the experience and specialized training.

If you take a window strike bird to a vet clinic, please complete all forms they provide, and request confirmation that this bird will be transferred to a wildlife rehab for care for window strike protocols (specialized examination and the standard 72 hour hold). Sometimes the clinic may find that euthanasia is the kindest option - this is still far better than allowing an animal to suffer. You have still been a help.
